RANDOLPH, Minn. (AP) \u2014 When Donald Trump promised\u00a0new tariffs<\/a><\/span>\u00a0while running for president, Gene Stehly worried that trade disputes would jeopardize his international sales of corn, soybeans and wheat.<\/p>\n

A little more than a year later, Stehly said his fears have become a reality, and Trump\u2019s latest promise of federal assistance is insufficient to cover American farmers\u2019 losses.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe this will all come out to be better at the end, but I can tell you right now, it certainly isn\u2019t the case at the moment,\u201d Stehly said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
