She started her career in in the changeable political-economy of Turkey, her home country and has worked in five countries.<\/p>\n<p>She was determined to take a pluralist route whatever the sacrifice. She also wanted to influence policy, starting as an activist in the period when neo-liberalism dominated captured in the acronym TINA \u2013 there is no alternative.
